Mark Our two female cats are approx 1yr old, and were 'fixed' my our vet a few months back. Now they have developed these egg-sized areas between the legs near the incision area. Almost like fatty areas. Doesn't seem to bother them, no pain, just getting cumbersome to run/play, etc. Any ideas?

kammy Lots of cats start to slow down a bit around 1 yr old and gain a little weight. A very common place is in the belly. It could be that. Of course only a vet could tell you for sure. I enclosed a weight chart for cats in case it might help you out.

Debbie That chart is not very accurate. I had a cat who weighed ten pounds and he was slim and not anywhere near overweight. I now have a kitten, five months old, who weighs 10 pounds already. He is long, but again not fat. According to the chart, he would be obese and that's not true. He's a Maine Coon and they're just big cats.
